The Blog

The Beginning

When you start, you never know where. I’ve been making and selling things for over a decade but it was never a business.
When I was sitting in my living room with a screaming baby and the idea of making a farm stand, I was clueless on what to do or where to start. All I knew was that I’ve made some cool things before and I’m a pretty good baker.
And just like that I went from a Licensed electrician to a stay at home mom with a micro-bakery and art studio.
My mindset shifted from “I hope someone visits my stand” to “I don’t think I made enough for the weekend crowd” in under two months. And that’s pretty cool.
The whole experience has brought me closer to my community, brought back my love of making food for others and has given me a deeper sense of meaning than going to a 9-5 job where I’m just a number.
Now that I’ve done this for a couple months, I’m prepping for opening full time in the summer and building my art business from my garage.
Between the lines, I’m taking care of a toddler, remodeling my house and also trying to juggle household chores. With all of that in mind I created a site that encompasses the messy side of life and business.
I’m learning everyday.
So if you want to follow along, you can watch my ideas evolve from wood scraps, to wood mosaics, to gardening, to baking, to epoxy and anything else that seems to pop up in-between.

If you’re building something while life is still messy and loud, you’re in the right place. This is where the unpolished process lives.
